October 31st was the first birthday of the Q8PACS blog. One year back, Q8PACS Admin wrote the first blog post there .."Dubai PACS Seminar" .. This was when 16 PACS admins from Kuwait attended a seminar which introduced them to many concepts like DICOM, HL7, DICOM troubleshooting and Monitors QC.
This blog was a natural evolution from another service done by Q8PACS. This was the Q8PACS Google Group (email group). The blog was intended to help out others using a great but free tool. This idea came to me in moments when I was thinking how great is internet ? How huge was my benefit from Internet ?
This was when I though that I should pay back "internet" and my community. Regardless of how much we know about any thing ! We; for sure, know many things that many & many other people don't know .. How ?? Our experience about PACS with all surrounding environment is truly unique !!
- How many PACS admins in this area work in orthopedic hospitals ? Few ..
- How many PACS admins in this area work on vendor "x" PACS system ? Not so many ..
- How many PACS admins have experienced data loss (God Forbid) ? Very Few ..
- How many PACS admins have experienced PACS upgrades ? Not so many ..
- How many PACS Admins have experienced selecting PACS without explaining their needs to vendor ? happens ONLY in KUWAIT!!
- How many PACS admins have the "BAD" experience of integrating two PACS systems without having idea why they need so ? a couple only..
So, with all of these individualistic experiences we can add a lot to the humanity !! By communicating together about our experience, we can help others not to fall into our problems !!!

3. Google DOCS (http://docs.google.com) where all members have access to a library of documents and resources.
In near future, "Q8PACS.ORG" will see the light ... The website for the PACS club of Kuwait will be launced.. with many nices features & services .. BUT .. This will never happen unless we all contribute some time & effort.
Until that moment, please contribute to this effort by giving ideas thoughts in following questionnaire to forecast future of Q8PACS electronic services.
